Chattan Tartan Cloak

This cloak would not have been possible if not for the generous gift of Money Earmarked for Tartan Fabric from my dad, as this fabric costs more than *four times* per yard as any other fabric I’ve purchased.

Chattan tartan from Lochcarron of Scotland
Spent probably over an hour meticulously pinning this.
Good enough for me!
And here we have the fabric I contributed: the legs of some white denim jeans I used to make some ruffle shorts.
Lifted the embroidery design for the back from the shortbread pan I got at Grandfather Mountain
”Touch not the cat”
Doily-inspired design to go over the shoulders
Designs drawn on with heat erase pens
Here’s the finished project. Waiting until I have more finished pieces to get better pictures.
